It takes many hands to create a meaningful worship experience in person and online.

From greeting visitors, caring for our worship spaces and setting up coffee on Sunday mornings, every task makes a difference!

Worship Volunteers

  • Our usher teams are often the first welcome people receive when they come to church on Sundays. Serving on a rotating basis, ushers distribute worship materials, help people find their seats, provide building tours and directions when needed, and collect the offering (donations) during each worship service.

  • The Altar Guild is a group of volunteers who attend to the needs of the Sanctuary for weekly services and other special occasions throughout the year.

Altar Guild volunteers follow the colors of the Christian calendar, changing the appointments and paraments according to the season and coordinate altar flowers that honor a special occasion, or recognize a birth or death within the congregation. These volunteers also oversee the beautification of our worship spaces for Christmas and Easter holidays.

  • Communion stewards prepare the elements for the sacrament of Holy Communion, which is celebrated at Milford First on the first Sunday of each month.

  • Every Sunday morning, our Welcome Center is filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers.

Be a part of the team that helps create opportunities for community and connection by providing a warm beverages for those attending our worship services.
